Looking forward for a Wonderful Competition

On behalf of the Fédération Equestre
Internationale, it is my pleasure to
welcome you to Abu Dhabi where we
kick-start the prestigious Longines
FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ series
2022. Sadly, last year this event had
to be cancelled due to the ongoing
Covid-19 pandemic, which is why it
is with even greater anticipation that
we look forward to discovering who
the laureates of 2022 will be. National
pride and camaraderie will be key as
some of the world’s best athletes come
together aiming for victory and for
precious Nations Cup™ points leading
up to the Longines FEI Jumping Nations
Cup™ Final in Barcelona (ESP) from
29 September to 2 October.
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed
our day to day lives, however, we are
finding solutions and continuously
adapting to the situation in order to
maintain competitions as best as
possible. It is thanks to the collective
efforts of organising committees such
as Khalid Ali Al Junaibi and his team,
as well as our Return to Play resources Ingmar De Vos
and tools such as the FEI Policy for
Enhanced Competition Safety during
the Covid-19 pandemic, that our FEI President
athletes are able to compete safely
and in the name of national pride.
As the excitement of the next few
days unfolds, we will once again be
reminded of what makes Jumping one
of the most remarkable of sports. Team and celebration of horsemanship,
work is also inherent to the equestrian collaboration, determination and
landscape at all levels and every passion. I want to thank the Organisers

representing countless individuals time, commitment and support to the
