New standards to host the World Endur-
ance Championship

UAE is hosting the 18th edition of the World Endur-
ance Championship in Butheeb International
Village, all of which are confident that it will pres-
ent a unique championship after a long journey of
hard work, to provide the best organizational
atmosphere for the largest international and com-
petitive championship, in order to delight the
participating elite riders, and followers who love
this noble sport.

leadership in organizing and hosting international sporting events with the best standards and prac-
tices, with its modern infrastructure that is in line with international standards. The "Butheeb 2022"
tournament has received the attention of the wise leadership, and the follow-up and support of His
Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presiden-
tial Court, in order to present a championship that will resonate with the family of endurance and
endurance races around the world, and remain in the memory of the participants in all its details. The
village of Butheeb has fulfilled all its technical and logistical obligations, and the ideas, vision and
facilities it proposed. To host the event, it was fully prepared for the tournament date, and it wel-
comed the participants and guests with the generosity and authenticity of the people of the Emir-
ates.

All of these matters distinguish the "Butheeb 2022" championship is that the UAE presents new
standards and pioneering initiatives in hosting to make it the first championship in the field of sus-
tainability and environmental friendliness, in line with the UAE's declaration of 2023 as the year of
sustainability within the UAE's strategic initiative to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

We have great confidence that: the International Equestrian Federation in granting the UAE the host-
ing of the tournament in the Butheeb International Village, came from complete conviction of the
UAE’s ability to organize a distinguished championship for the global event in Abu Dhabi, the home of
world championships, at the highest level and the best image, and it is a trust in its place, because
«Butheeb 2022» will provide more than what is required in the criteria for granting hosting.
