The World Endurance Championship 2022

Butheeb hosts the World riders in the 18th Edition

On 25th February 2023, Butheeb International Endurance Village will host the
18th edition of the World Endurance Championship 160 k.m. with the participation

of 129 male and female riders from 37 countries, setting a record to be written in

the letters of light in the history of championships, as it is the first event after the

lifting of pandemic restrictions, and considered as the prime event of the
International Equestrian Federation.

The World Endurance Championship witnesses the participation of 24 teams, the

largest number to participate since the pandemic, with the lead team- Spanish
Team - led by the “defending champion ”,winning the team title many a times, but

this time it to confront with the strong competitors such as the host Emirati riders,

Salem Hamad Malhouf Al Ketbi, holder of the title for individuals and the Brazilian

Team bagging the silver last time.
