Champions seeking “HAT-TRICK "
Three former champions participated in
"Butheeb 2022”
The 18th edition of the World Endurance Championship, hosted by
Butheeb Global Village, portrays the participation of 3 former champi-
ons, the Spanish Maria Alvarez, the world champion twice - in Malaysia
2008, and in America 2010, and the second, her compatriot and veteran
husband, Juma Ponte Dash, champion of the 2016 edition, which was
held in Slovakia, and the third world champion. The champion of the last
edition held in Pisa, Italy 2021, the young Emirati rider Salem Hamad
Malhouf Al Ketbi.
The presence of the three champions add other dimensions of excite-
ment and the strength to the competition; each of them enters with dif-
ferent aspirations and goals, as the rider Maria Al-Fareez is looking for
(hat-trick), Joma Ponte and Salem Malhouf seek the double.
